The Building Division is responsible for the plan review, permits, and inspections for construction projects as well as compliance of the Building and Zoning Code. These projects range from large commercial buildings to residential fences. The Building Division is the Staff Liaison for the Electrical Commission as well as testing and licensing of electrical contractors.

We are located at 325 N Milwaukee Avenue, Suite 203, Libertyville, IL, and are open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, except Village holidays. Our office is in the heart of downtown Libertyville on State Route 21 (Milwaukee Avenue) and is easily accessible from Interstate 94,  State Route 137 (Buckley/Peterson Road), State Route 45 and State Route 176.

Building Codes are adopted and amended through the Libertyville Municipal Code, Chapter 6 Building and Technical Regulations and are available to download in a .pdf format.
